Design study for HELS, third generation synchrotron radiation light source
- 1. China Science and Technology Univ., Hefei (China). National Synchrotron Radiation Laboratory
Description
The author describes design study of third generation synchrotron radiation light source, high energy light source (HELS). It includes a light source storage ring of 7 GeV, an electron injector synchrotron of 7 GeV and a preinjector linac of 450 MeV. The beam emittance of the storage ring is 2.33 nm·rad, that is about one third of the existing light source of similar energy in the world. The brilliance of the synchrotron radiation from undulators can reach 1020(photons·s-1·mm-2·mrad-2/0.1% BW); 1∼2 orders higher than the existing light sources
