Beta-scaling experiments in ISX-B
Creators
Description
High beta studies in ISX-B (R = 0.93m, a = 0.26m, 1.1 less than or equal to b/a less than or equal to 1.6, I/sub p/ = 60-230kA, B/sub T/ = 0.75-1.5T, anti n/sub e/ less than or equal to 1.1 x 1020m-3, P/sub b/ less than or equal to 2.5MW) have been aimed at understanding the nonlinear increase of β with beam power that results from deteriorating confinement at high beam power
