Description
The features of formation of electrical discharge in electron and proton irradiated glasses have been investigated. Laser radiation was used to stimulation of the discharge. The charging of space-craft components by high-energy radiation can result in spontaneous pulsed discharges and anomalies. Composite materials. which are candidates for use as insulators in superconducting magnetic systems for thermonuclear reactors, were tested under irradiation by electrons at 77 K and accumulation of space charge was observed
