On the extension of Stark techniques of diagnostics to the hydrogen plasma with moderate density

Description

Theory of ionic impact broadening of hydrogen spectral lines has been developed and numerical calculations for line Hα have been performed. The approach suggested, which has been developed for describing the broadening by ions eliminates considerable difference of precedent theories with precision experiments. The results obtained may serve as a reliable base for extention on plasma of moderate density of Stark methods for measuring its parameters Ne and Ti in the range 1014 cm-3 <or approx. 1016 cm-3
