Effect of X-ray irradiation of hatching eggs on hatching time, hatchability and broiler weight

Description
Broiler hatching eggs were irradiated with a low x-ray dose (4-17 rad). No significant improvement of hatchability or performance of the chicks was found. The irradiation did not influence the number of micro-organisms on the egg shell
