Radiographic inspection of steel castings. Additional study of the field of application of linear accelerators

Additional radiographic inspections were carried out on real defects for different thicknesses of unalloyed and stainless steel castings with a view to defining the field of application of 8-MeV electron linear accelerators. Results are compared with those obtained with Ir 192 and Co 60

Des controles radiographiques complementaires ont ete effectues sur defauts reels pour differentes epaisseurs d'aciers moules, non allie et inoxydable, pour essayer de definir le domaine d'utilisation des accelerateurs lineaires d'electrons de 8 MeV d'energie. On compare les resultats avec ceux obtenus par Ir 192 et Co 60
