Description
A method based on the x-ray spectrometry is proposed for the identification and estimation of trace level of actinides in the filter paper sample used for the radiation monitoring of the active area. The method is based on the measurement of the intensity ratio of Lβ to Lα of the actinides in the sample, which is specific to the actinide. This method allows detection and estimation of actinide to as low level as a few tens of a nanogram. (author)
