Application of radioactive procedures to PWR instrumentations
Description
This thesis deals with the measurement of the coolant characteristics in PWRs. First, experimental methods not involving radioactive are presented. Then, one presents methods using gamma-ray or neutron transmission for which the following applications are given and detailed: measurement of temperature and flow rate in the pressurizer expansion line by gamma-ray transmission; measurement of the pressurizer level by radiation transmission; measurement of the mass of water in the tank, after reactor shutdown, by gamma-ray detection; measurement of the vacuum fraction in a hot branch by gamma-ray transmission

Cette these traite de la mesure des caracteristiques du fluide de refroidissement dans les reacteurs de puissance a eau sous pression. On presente tout d'abord des methodes experimentales n'utilisant pas les phenomenes radioactifs. On s'interesse ensuite a des methodes utilisant la transmission de gamma et de neutrons pour lesquelles on presente les applications suivantes: mesure de temperature et de debit dans la ligne d'expansion du pressuriseur par transmission gamma; mesure du niveau du pressuriseur par transmission de rayonnements; mesure de la masse d'eau dans la cuve apres arret du reacteur par detection gamma; mesure de la fraction de vide dans un branche chaude par transmission de gammaFiles
