Dependences of the intensity of optical emission from sputtered atoms on azimuthal angle of crystalline target rotation
- 1. Moskovskij Gosudarstvennyj Univ. (USSR). Nauchno-Issledovatel'skij Inst. Yadernoj Fiziki
Description
A (001) Cu target was bombarded by 10-30 KeV Ne+ and Ar+ ions. The dependence of the ion-induced photon emission yield on the azimuthal angle of target tilt was studied. Results are presented for 10 KeV Ar+ ions in the form of intensity curves for a range of incidence angles of the ion beam with respect to the target surface normal. The azimuthal dependence is shown to be strong and monotonic and characterized by the incidence angle. (author)
