Determining temperature distribution in reactor shield by applying numerical method for solving boundary problems

Description

This paper presents numerical procedure for determining temperature distribution in the reactor shield by applying boundary conditions. procedure covers cases of plane and cylindrical geometry. Computer codes RAT-1 and RAT-2 for computer ELLIOTT-803-B were written according to the described procedure for plane and cylindrical geometries respectively. According to reactor configurations defined in the project NE OP-500 MWe a series of calculations was done. Temperature distributions in concrete vessel considered as an element of shielding were used to verify the method and codes, and analyze obtained results dependent on numerical integration steps and conductivity coefficient. Due to its calculation speed and reliability of obtained results, this method is considered suitable for preliminary estimation of temperature field, dimensioning thermal shield and design of reactor shield cooling system

Abstract (Serbian)

U radu je prikazan numericki postupak za odredjivanje raspodele temperature u zastiti reaktora primenom granicnih uslova. Postupkom su obuhvaceni slucajevi ravanske i cilindricne geometrije. Prema izlozenom postupku napravljeni su programi RAT-1 i RAT-2 za racunsku masinu ELLIOTT-803-B za ravansku i cilindricnu geometriju respektivno. Za konfiguraciju zastite reaktora prema projektu NE OP-500 MWe, izvrsen je niz proracuna raspodele temperature u betonskom sudu kao elementu zastite u cilju verifikacije prostupka i programa i ilustracije dobijenih rezultata u zavisnosti od koraka numerickog integraljenja i koeficijenta provodljivosti. Zbog kratkoce rada i pouzdanosti dobivenih rezultata metod je pogodan za preliminarne procene temperaturskog polja, dimenzionisanje termicke zastite i projektovanje rashladnog sistema zastite reaktora.
