The calculation of plasma parameters from Langmuir-probe characteristics by means of digital computers

Description

The physical problems resulting from computer analysis of Langmuir probe characteristics are reviewed including the estimation of the measurement range for the temperature and density calculation of the cold magnetospheric plasma. Equations are derived for the calculation of the real physical parameters. Data processing by means of digital computers is dealt with. (author)
