Parameter estimator for the mean flow velocity based on the correlation principle

  • 1. Technische Hochschule Aachen (Germany, F.R.). Lehrstuhl und Inst. fuer Regelungstechnik

Description

The proposed estimation procedure is based on the time delay estimation of a flow pattern moving with the flow for which usually the known correlation methods are applied. It is shown that by adequate modeling of the turbulent effects in the flow an estimator can be derived which avoids the systematic errors of a correlator system. The performance of the estimator is demonstrated by experimental results obtained from a two-phase flow. The flow pattern was detected by ultrasonic sensors. (orig.)

Abstract (German)

(orig.)
