Phase decomposition and structure of TiO2-B2O3 system glasses
Description
Method of SAXS was used for investigation into structure of TiO2-B2O3 system glasses in content of TiO2 to 10 %. Existence of the field of liquid-phase phase decomposition was established. Glasses containing less than 2.3 % of TiO2 could be produced in single-phase state in high quencing rates (104-105 K/s). Density of heterogeneity fields in content of TiO4 more than 2.3 % is equal to 2.85-2.95 g/cm3. Separation of crystal phase - anatase - is observed in increase of duration of heating. Crystallization processes mainly proceed in the fields of heterogeneity formed in low-temperature heat treatment. Heterogenous structure developed in cooling possesses high stability in respect to crystallization
