Inadequate treatment and failure to give obligatory information in radiology. Pt. 2

Starting out from the definitions already given in volume 5/90 the author proceeds to outline the general principles concerning the physician's duty to give information. The latter must include explanations of the diagnosis and any therapeutic or surgical procedures required just as well as instructions as to adequate living habits and warnings not to default from prescribed treatment. Here, too, physicians are advised to keep records for their own sake. The report presents a total of 29 judicial rulings on improper treatment and failure to give obligatory information in radiology.
