Description

Due to the upgrade of a neutron spin echo spectrometer owned by The University of Tokyo (ISSP-NSE), the spectrometer is renewal and renamed as 'iNSE.' The previous beam port was C2-2 branch at cold neutron guide C2 of JRR-3M, Japan Atomic Energy Research Institute, Japan, and the spectrometer was moved to the end of the C2 guide. The new type of epoxy resin floor was equipped and its surface is large, hard and very flat for iNSE to move smoothly. The scattering angle was extended up to 98 .deg.. A neutron velocity selector, a polarizer and an analyzer are newly equipped, and the capable wavelength region is from 4 to 15 A. Present maximum time range achieved up to 50ns with 10.7 A of the incident neutrons
