First data for experimental modeling of the crust contamination of the basic magmas: distribution of rave earth elements and yttrium
Description
Experimental modeling of basalt melt interaction with residue rocks of the platform sheath showed that medium and heavy rare earth elements are distributed more preferably as compared to the light ones. The experimental results appear to contradict firmly established notions relative to enrichment by crusted contamination of magmatic melts by light rare earth elements
