Elastic scattering of high energy alpha-particles in nuclei

Description

The experimental data of elastic alpha-particle (1.37GeV) scattering on 12C and 40,42,44,48Ca are successfully analysed in the framework of the model of coherent fluctuations of nuclear density. The values of the parameters (effective radius and surface thickness of the target nucleus) which appear in this approach are discussed. (authors)
