Comparison of induced radiation intensity from detectors and construction materials due to protons in primary cosmic rays and earth radiation belts

Description
Calculations of the indeed radiation intensity from detectors and construction materials due to protons in primary cosmic rays and Earth radiation belts are presented. The smallest contribution to the induced gamma background is produced by tungsten. Of the detector materials, plastic scintillators have the lowest susceptibility to proton irradiation
