Description
This paper provides a brief overview of the requirements for the disposal of defense generated spent nuclear fuel into a civilian repository. Regulations and schedules for disposal are outlined. A main objective of disposal is to ensure that the U.S. Department of Energy program does not impact the process for opening the civilian program repository
