Description
The APSARA reactor in Trombay which is a low power 1 MWth swimming pool type research reactor has been operating on HEU fuel and has been playing key roles in the country's nuclear programme. In the light of recent developments and the global emphasis on proliferation resistant LEU fuels for research reactors, there is a need for replacing the existing core with LEU fuel
