Room temperature magnetic measurements of the UNK dipoles superconducting magnet coils and comparison with the results at helium temperature

Description

Equipment designed to measure multipole coefficients of SC-dipoles under room temperature was assembled and tested in IHEP to control quality of magnetic field of coil unit of superconducting-dipole of UNK before its setting into magnetic screen and assembling in cryostat. Description of equipment and of measurement technique, as well as, measurement results are presented. It is shown, that the given measurements enables to introduce correction in coil geometry before assembling in cryostat, as well as, to carry out sorting-out of substandard units. 5 refs.; 2 figs.; 7 tabs
