Study on gamma ray 3D instant imaging system
- 1. China Institutc of Atomic Energy, Beijing (China)
Description
Traditional gamma ray instant imaging system is normally 2 dimensions. It can't provide thc distance of contaminated things to the imaging system. If the radioactive sources are placed before and after, the spatial position can't be determined. 3D instant imaging system use two scan machines to scan the site, it can receive ray intensity chart and calculate the distance and angle of radioactive sources by triangulation method. It can overlap one hotspot section to another hotspot section by algorithm. It is proved by scanning two radioactive sources placed before and after. The system can display the spatial positions of two objects and give the spatial coordinate values. The relationship between the Collimator angle and image resolution is also discussed. The optimized scan mode is also given, it can save a lot of scan time. (authors)
