Operator support systems for NPP advanced control rooms

Description

Development prospects of computerized operator support systems (COSS) for NPP are considered. Using the systems in the on-line mode the plant diagnosis and fault localization are realized, simultaneously the situation development is predicted. COSS methodology is based on logical diagnosis and dynamic simulation of components and processes. Nan-machine interfaces and hierarchic distribution of data using large sized screens are envisaged in COSS
