Description
We considered here an accelerator having microstructures excited by laser radiation. The gradient achievable ∼1 GeV/m and invariant emittance of the beam 10-9 cm rad with 106 particles per pulse and repetition rate ∼kHz allows numerous applications for this type of accelerator. We discuss here some possible utilization of such a linac
