On the angular dependence of high-energy p-p elastic scattering
Description
A phenomenological model of p-p elastic scattering is proposed on the basis of postulates: (i) The s-, b-factorizable and s-u crossing symmetric opacity, (ii) The proton density distribution of the Wu-Bourrely-Soffer type and (iii) The shielded fixed pole Pomeron of the Arnold-Barnett type. The model yields a successful explanation of the detailed features of the recent CERN-ISR data by the CHOV collaboration. Model predictions for energies of future very big accelerators are also shown
