The crystal and molecular structure of trans-dioxobic (ethylenediamine) rhenium (5) perrhenate ReO2en2ReO4

  • 1. Wroclaw Univ. (Poland) Inst. Chemii

Description

The yellow complex ReO3en was obtained and it was found to have the ReO2en2ReO4 formula. The ReO2en2ReO4 complex salt crystallizes in the centrosymmetric orthorhombic space group Dsub(2h)16-Pnma with a = 11,49(3), b = 17.85(5), c = 5.64(2)A, Z = 4. The data to sin THETA/lambda=0.65 (cuKsub(α) radiation) were collected by the Weissenberg method. The structure was solved by a combination of Patterson, Fourier and least-squares refinement techniques to an R value of 0.101 for 509 independent nonzero reflections. The rhenium atom occupies the symmetry centre and therefore the O-Re-O grouping in ReO2enB2+ cation is linear. (author)
