Growth of zirconia single crystals by direct crystallization in a cold container
- 1. General Physics Institute, Moscow (Russian Federation)
Description
A review of some problems concerning a modern state of the solid solution zirconia single crystals growth by means of the direct RF melting in a cold container has been made. The effects of solid solution composition, various dopants and impurities, thermal conditions and growth regime on size and perfection of the crystals have been considered. Different types of the optical inhomogencities in zirconia crystals have been mentioned. (author). 17 refs., 5 figs
