Determination of U235/U238 ratio in natural uranium using gamma spectroscopy
Creators

Description
The ratio of U235/U238 was determined by gamma spectroscopy. The 185.7, 143.8 and 163.4 KeV peaks were used to determine the U235 concentration. To determine U238 the 1001 KeV of peak from Pa231 was used. The ratio of these radionuclides were calculated in different types of samples including sediment, uranium ore, geological samples and soil samples. The ratio was found to be 0.045 for studied samples and 0.05 for uranium ore. (author). 12 refs., 9 tabs
