Nonlinear interaction of waves in sharply bounded plasmas
Description
The nonlinear interaction of three high-frequency waves and low-frequency density perturbations in a sharply bounded plasma is considered. The coupled equations are presented in a general and convenient form. Explicit expressions are derived for the threshold of a number of possible instabilities in semi-infinite and cylindrical plasmas. (author)
