Examining high momentum components using the (e,e'p) reaction
Description
High momentum components in the nuclear wave function can be studied for low lying bound states (close to the fermi energy) as well as for the continuum using the (e,e'p) reaction. Calculations and experiment indicate, that short range correlations affect mostly the continuum above 20 MeV excitation energy. Recent results of experiments performed at Mainz, NIKHEF and Saclay are presented. (orig.)
