Description

This paper explain the development of a software and an interface unit of MINT Whole Body Counter (WBC) that is part of the Whole Body Counter refurbishment project. In this project, we develop a new software system to control the whole process in the Whole Body Counter system. This include motor positioning system, data acquisition system and data storage for analysis using LabView. The Software used for the analysis by the Multi Channel Analyzer (MCA) is a well known Genie-2000 package. Software integration between Genie-2000 and LabView was carried out to make sure only one man-machine interface will be used by WBC user to control the whole system. The Interface module for motor control of bed position and motor driver is a UnIO52 board provided by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). (Author)
