Description

The dose produced by the hot electrons from the laser-foil target interaction has been measured by using a LiF thermoluminescence dosimeters (TLDs) stack. The hot electron energy distribution has been obtained from the mass stopping power of the electron in the LiF TLDs. The hot electron energy distribution of the PIC simulation is more consistent with the result from the experiment. The theoretical analysis proves that the resonance absorption is the primary mechanism of the electron acceleration. (authors)
