Description
Mechanism and kinetics of isothermal reduction of technetium dioxide to metal (time dependence of reduction degree at constant temperature) in temperature range 1118-673 K are considered. Reduction curves have pronounced sigmoidal form. Reduction degree of ∼ 0.4 corresponds the point of maximal rate of the reaction. Limiting stage of technetium dioxide reduction is the stage of metal technetium crystallization from pseudoamorphous phase of metal technetium formed on the surface of technetium dioxide in the result of its interaction with reducer.
