Description
The essential first step in producing a highly sophisticated operator-support system for PWR nuclear-power plants was the development of several revolutionary new elemental technologies. These technologies were successfully developed over the first half of the system's five-year development period and proved invaluable to the completion of the total system. The article introduces the principal elemental technologies for plant simulation, anomaly diagnosis, distributed computer systems, and CRT graphics. (author)
