Description
Neutron-γ angular correlation and lifetime measurements with the 24Mg(α,nγ)27Si reaction were performed at bombarding energies of 12.60, 12.90, 15.45 and 16.35 MeV. Spins and parities for the Esub(x)=0.96, 2.16, 2.91, 4.45 and 5.28 MeV levels of 27Si were found as (3/2)+, (7/2)+, (9/2)+, (11/2)+ and ((7/2), (11/2))+, respectively. Mixing ratios of γ-ray transitions, γ-ray decay and excitation energies of some levels below 5.4 MeV have also been determined. For the mirror pair 27Si-27Al there is now a one-to-one correspondence for the lowest sixteen states. The results are compared with shell-model predictions. (Auth.)
