Description
We discuss the light cone approach to the fermionic Schwinger model. As this approach necessarily involves constraints, we use the Dirac-Bergmann algorithm to obtain the quantum theory from its classical counterpart. We derive the (quantum) anomaly by performing an ultraviolet regularisation of the currents already on the classical level. We find a θ-vacuum and show how to construct a fermion condensate. (orig.)
