Automated construction of image processing procedures by sample-figure presentation

This paper presents a new approach to expert vision systems. The system proposed here can automatically construct an image processing procedure based on a sample figure presented as a goal of the processing. The system consists of four steps: (1) preprocessing of a given sample figure, (2) selection of a procedure frame, (3) construction of a detail procedure based on the frame, and (4) performance evaluation of the procedure.
