Description
The uptake of Np, Pu, Am and Cm from 5 different soils into various plants was investigated under greenhouse conditions. Crop cultivation was done corresponding to usual practice in agriculture in pots and lysimeters of different size. Results for about 380 measurements which have been performed within 7 vegetation periods are represented. The measured transfer factors are compared with those data which are proposed to calculate the long term radiation burden of the population by ingestion of contaminated food
