Pellet injection requirements for TEXTOR/ALT-II and proposal of pellet injection with laser irradiation

Creators

  • 1. Nagoya Univ., Japan

Description

The the results of computer simulations suggest that the primary pellet injection requirement for TEXTOR/ALT-II is an active control method for high-quality density modification. A scheme of pellet injection with laser radiation is proposed as a method of achieving such control. Active control offers the possibility of clear density modification to study Tokamak physics and mode control in Tokamak operation
