Description
The invention relates to a liquid metal cooled fast neutron breeder of the pool type comprising a transfer rotor for provisionally storing fuel assemblies irradiated in the coolant during the transfer from the core to the storage device. The fuel assemblies are supported in the transfer rotor by resilient devices and a hydraulic damper device is provided at least under the transfer rotor for absorbing the energy of a falling fuel assembly. This can be applied to liquid metal cooled fast neutron breeders comprising a device for preventing the transfer rotor from being damaged, should be a fuel assembly happen to be disconnected during the unloading operations

L'invention concerne un reacteur surregenerateur a neutrons rapides, refroidi par un metal liquide, du type piscine, comportant un rotor de transfert pour le stockage provisoire des assemblages combustibles irradies dans le fluide de refroidissement pendant que les assemblages combustibles transitent du coeur au dispositif de stockage. Les assemblages combustibles sont supportes dans le rotor de transfert par des dispositifs elastiques et il est prevu un amortisseur hydraulique au moins dans une position situee sous le rotor de transfert pour absorber l'energie d'un assemblage combustible qui tombe. Ceci est applicable aux reacteurs surregenerateurs a neutrons rapides refroidis par un metal liquide comportant un appareillage destine a empecher un endommagement du rotor de transfert en cas de decrochage d'un assemblage combustible au cours des operations de dechargementAdditional details
