Al and Mn concentrations in tea leaves

  • 1. Kyoto Prefectural University, Laboratory of Applied Physics, Kyoto (Japan)

Description

The concentrations of aluminum and manganese were measured over a 12 month growth period of individual tea leaves by PIXE method. In order to measure the both elements simultaneously, we used a 2.5 MeV proton beam and a funny foil of 10% opening. The concentration of both elements increased over the growth period and showed rapid increase between 5- and 6-months. (author)
