Analysis method development of US nuclear power plant O and M cost data

Description
We developed analysis methods of nuclear power plant O and M cost data and applied them to the US open databases such as UDI, in order to transfer the US experience to the Japanese nuclear power plant cost reduction. An analysis method using comparison among four group of cost level was proposed. A total plant performance index was created using a statistical analysis method, and 29 plants was selected as cost-performance superior plants which have rather homogeneous index value. For the sample plants, outage stuffing was decreased due to more on-line maintenance and reliability centered maintenance. A statistical analysis method of evaluating impact of aging on O and M cost was developed. (author)
