Zirconium(4) and hafnium(4) complexonates with β-hydroxyethyliminodiacetic acid

Complexonates of Zr(4) and Hf(4) (M) with β-hydroxyethyliminodiacetic acid of the composition M(Heida)2·2H2O, M21M(Heida-H)2·3H2O (M1 = K+, Rb+) and (CN3H6)MHeida·(Heida-H)·3H2O, where (Heida-H)3- -three times deprotonated form of ligand, have been synthesized for the first time. X-Ray diffraction characteristics of M(Heida)2·2H2O and (CN3H6)M(Heida)(Heida-H)·3H2O, referred to monoclinic crystal system, have been defined. On the basis of IR spectra study assumptions are made on the structure of complexonates synthesized. 3 refs., 3 tabs
