L sub shell x-ray production cross sections for protons in elements 40<Z<92 in the energy range from 100 keV to 10 MeV
Description
A computer software package with its own complete database has been developed to generate L1, Lα, Lβ and Lγ x-ray production cross sections for protons in real time, for any element with atomic number lying between 40 and 92 and at any incident proton energy or set of energies (maximum 100) between 100 keV to 10 MeV. The details of the program, calculations and results are discussed. L sub shell x-ray production cross sections at proton energies at the standard energy format in La (Z=57) using the values of Krause et al for fluorescence yields and Coster-Kronig transition probabilities, generated by the program, are given as a typical direct output of the program.
