Description
Thermoluminescence (TL) of γ-irradiated pure LiCl single crystals has been investigated. The activation energy and the frequency factor associated with the prominent peak has been determined. TL emission spectra of LiCl are presented. The LiCl phosphor has a high sensitivity and the glow peak height increases linearly with the γ-dose but its fading rate is quite high even at room temperature which limits its utility as a TLD phosphor
