The velocity limitation in a rotating plasma device of the homopolar type
Description
The velocity limitation found by Angerth et al is confirmed by new measurements using an improved experimental technique. When this technique is extended to a helium-argon mixture, the behaviour of the pure gases is observed again. Under certain conditions a transition from the argon to the helium behaviour takes place which is probably caused by a separative effect.
