Description

Experimental results on the movement of an electroconductor fluid running in a rectangular channel under the influence of a uniform induced magnetic field. One of the two walls which are perpendicular to the field shows a harmonic movement defined by the formula V0 cos ω t. The two other walls, highly conductive and parallel to the fields, are connected on the outside by a pure resistance

Abstract (French)

Les resultats experimentaux concernant le mouvement d'un fluide electroconducteur evoluant dans une conduite rectangulaire en presence d'un champ d'induction magnetique uniforme sont presentes. L'une des deux parois perpendiculaires au champ est animee d'un mouvement harmonique de la forme V0 cosωt. Les deux autres parois, tres conductrices et paralleles au champ, sont reliees exterieurement par une resistance pure
