A temperature field influence on the lithium drift shape front in germanium
- 1. Bylgarska Akademiya na Naukite, Sofia (Bulgaria). Inst. za Yadrena Izsledvaniya i Yadrena Energetika
Description
A study of the temperature field influence on the lithium drift shape front in germanium has been carried out analytical in the present work. The boundary problem, describing the temperature field, has been solved taking into account the availability of a heat-source in the i-region of the crystal. Planar and coaxial geometry of the drift have been considered. The study of the change in the drift shape front has shown that the account of the temperature field leads to a definite deformation of the shape in question. For the case of a planar drift a geometry has been suggested permitting to shorten the time for making planar detectors with a big sensitive i-region. 8 figs., 1 tab., 6 refs
