Effect of the sector structure of the interplanetary magnetic field on the decametric radio noise of the Jupiter

Description
The observation data on decametric sporadic radio noise of the Jupiter have been analyzed for years from 1961 to 1968. The experiments were carried out in Boulder (USA) by means of the interferometer with the 7-41 MHz frequency range. The data processing have shown the sector structure of the interplanetary magnetic field effects the Jupiter radio noise intensity. The probability of the emission is found to be increased at interplanetary field polarity change from (-) to (+), and it probably stays increased in the region of positive polarity. The effect observed testifies that decametric radio emission of the Jupiter is similar by its nature to auroral kilometric radiation. of the Earth and sector structure of the interplanetary magnetic field is stable up to 5 a.u
