Solar neutrinos and density fluctuations
Creators
Description
Using a method developed by Loreti and Balantekin, we investigate the effect of density fluctuations in the solar interior on the suppression of the solar neutrino flux via the MSW mechanism. We compare the predictions of the theory with the signal observed at various solar neutrino detectors, and explore the possibility of using neutrino data to limit density fluctuations in the interior
